Beat Down By The Recession Take A Vacation

I realize that the last thing that may be on a lot of peoples minds right now would be where can I go to get away from things. Unfortunately for most of us the thought of planning a vacation right about now has been put on the back burner. All the media hyping all the recession woes and economy being in recession most of us are just concerned with holding on to our jobs and putting away as much money as we can because it looks like we are in for a lot of rainy days.

For those few of us that happen to be in good financial shape right now with no worries about jobs or mortgages now happens to be the perfect time. Usually at this time of year people are starting to get all hyped up because they have a winter/holiday vacation booked and ready to go. Well if you are one of those people with out the recession fears that most of the country has right now. You can pretty much have your pick of where you want to take a vacation and not have to worry about it being overcrowded.

weekend inspirationYou also will not have to worry about high prices when it comes to airfares and hotel bookings. Everyone is slashing their prices at the end of the year in hopes to salvage some part of the year. You see even though the travel numbers are way down the travel industry is expecting to see a bump up in the next few weeks. Which is something they desperately need after the nose dive they saw in November. Airlines for example saw a huge drop in the month of November so don’t be surprised to see prices come down hard as well to try and entice people to fly for the holidays.

Again I realize that now is not the time for most of us to even think about traveling but for those lucky few that have the means to do it. By all means go and take those vacations to wonderful far off places just make sure when you come back you at least bring a T-shirt back for all your friends that are stuck at home saving our pennies if fear of the recession.
