Road Trip Through South Africa - Got Money For Gas

One of the best ways to travel through any country is a self driving holiday. No matter the country there truly is no accounting for the sites and culture you will witness when you yourself are leading the way. It is so much more fulfilling when you are the one driving  and discovering little corners of the world that may or may not be on any map. It is unfortunate that the state of the petrol economy is having such a global effect on driving habits in general. Especially because it is really cutting into the road trip adventures of so many families all over the world. With that said if you happen to have the resources to plan a trip and you are a fan of self driving holidays, read the following article regarding self driving holidays in South Africa. Playa Del Ingles

If you are wondering where to go for the perfect beach holiday or vacation with great night life, then look no further, Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain is the place to visit. It has miles of beautiful wide beaches with fine sand, but be careful which part you choose as there are nudist and gay sections as well. They are all immaculately kept, with plenty of loungers, sun shades and bars, selling drinks, snacks and ice creams. You can usually find a nice quiet spot in the vast sand dunes if you wish to be more alone.
The sunshine is almost one hundred per cent guaranteed as Playa del Ingles is on the south of the island and not far from the African coast, so even mid winter breaks are possible and popular. Don’t forget the sun screen as even during January and February you can get severely burned!
The resort of Playa del Ingles certainly comes alive in the evening with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants to suite every taste. Vast numbers of tourists arrive from all over northern Europe including the UK, Germany, Sweden and Holland and specialty bars and restaurants compete for their business, ensuring a good selection for everyone.
Tourists are spoiled for choice when it comes to accommodation in Playa del Ingles as there are an abundance of hotels in all price ranges and self catering apartment complexes from the basic to the luxurious. Most of these can be booked online now offering the opportunity to make substantial savings on the typical package holiday.
For the more energetic visitors, water sports are available and include jet skiing and paragliding, with many others being offered nearby. For family friendly amusements why not visit one of the Gran Canaria water parks, there are a couple within a taxi ride away. Plenty of other interesting attractions (including a crocodile park) and day trips can be booked with local pick up points from the many tour companies, so shop around for the best deals.
Like all the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria has a very low tax regime so bargains can be found in one of the plentiful shopping centres (or local markets) in Playa del Ingles, particularly jewelry, perfume and electronics. Prices do vary in proportion to how well you can haggle, so always ask for a discount and don’t be put off when they so no, eventually you will get one.

Venture to Mauritius

Perhaps after you read the following article about Mauritius a
beautiful African island in the Indian Ocean you will have a different
perspective. Please share your thoughts about Mauritius at the end with a few
comments.

Mauritius Exotic Honeymoon Beaches

Mauritius is a tropical paradise and
one of the most beautiful places for a romantic honeymoon. Mauritius enjoys
an extensively varied culture, due to its multifaceted history. It’s greatly
influenced by its British and French ties and principally Indian workforce. The
result is a mix of assorted cultures, religions, and languages. The variety is
also evident in the food, which is a mix of Indian, Creole, Chinese, and
European.
Mauritius is the ultimate honeymoon destination with amazing
beaches, great food, world class spas and excellent honeymoon
spots.

Exotic Beaches
The Island of Mauritius has warm turquoise
waters with pristine white sandy beaches, gently swaying palms and aromatic
blossoms. It is an ideal destination for a wedding or
honeymoon.

Pereybere
Pereybere is situated on the coastal road
between Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux. Pereybere offers deep and clear blue
waters. It is definitely the most popular among young people, with some of the
best beach action around.
Grand Baie
Grand Baie is probably
the most popular beach on the island,. It is a safe place for swimming, sailing,
windsurfing, and water skiing. Only 20 kilometers away from Port-Louis, Grand
Baie has a host of clothing and craft shops, restaurants and trendy night clubs.
From Grand Baie, one can catch a helicopter for an excursion along the coast, or
get onto a boat for a trip into the deep seas to Coin de Mire, Ile Plate and Ile
Ronde.

Cap Malheureux
Cap Malheureux is a small fishing village
located on the furthest north tip of Mauritius. Cap Malheureux offers a
magnificent view of some of the small islands off the coast. Among others, Ile
Plate, famous for its lighthouse; Ile Ronde, inhabited only by palm trees,
harmless boas and indigenous lizards; Ile aux Serpents, which, despite its name,
is not infested with snakes; and Coin de Mire, an enormous rock of historical
importance, since it was from there that the English secretly embarked on
September 2, 1810 to win over the island from the French

Mont
Choisy

Mont Choisy is situated on the northern coastline, and is one of
the best beaches around. Locals enjoy spending the weekend there, relaxing in
the sun, enjoying the sea and playing soccer on an adjacent field. The entrance
to the beach is guarded by a monument, commemorating the first airlink between
Mauritius and Reunion Island on September 10, 1933, undertaken by a Frenchman by
the name of Sutel, and a Mauritian, Jean Hily. The latter unfortunately lost his
life on the second attempt held on October 4,
1934.

Trou-Aux-Biches
Nestled between Mont Choisy and
Pointe-aux-Piments, is a short stretch of public beach l. Trou-aux-Biches is a
cozy white sandy beach, with blue waters and lazy filao trees to match.
Trou-aux-Biches is also minutes away from The Aquarium, where you can acquaint
yourself with the Mauritian marine life. The splendid Hindu Temple across from
Trou aux Biches stands in sweet contrast to the heavenly emerald-green waters
and white sandy beach background.

Flic-en-Flac
The name Flic en
Flac is thought to come from the old Dutch name, ‘Fried Landt Flaak’, or ‘Free
and Flat Land’. Flic en Flac, off the Port Louis-Tamarin road, lies at the
bottom of a 3Km straight road running through cane fields. It is not as cute and
carefree as its name suggests. Rather, it is an increasingly busy holiday
village that lies and relies on a great stretch of beach, and caters for the
middle range in the market rather than the budget level, which prefers Tamarin.

Tamarin
This is the surfing centre of Mauritius, although you can
go for weeks without seeing a surfer. The character of the place is more
laid-back than Flic en Flac and rougher around the edges. It has a good beach
and is well situated for most of the other sights. Salt evaporation ponds
encircle the village. Tamarin Bay Beach - This is a small public beach with good
views across the river estuary to Montage du Rempart.

Blue
Bay

Blue Bay is the official public beach closest to
Mahebourg.

Ile Aux Cerfs
Ile Aux Cerfs a small island off the east
coast, is the next best thing after paradise. The island features vast beaches
fringed with palm trees, and clear waters. There is no need to leave this paradise island since it has all you
need, including restaurants and water sports facilities. Restaurants and other
services are housed in small exotic kiosks, with straw roofs. Tourists can
access IIe aux Cerfs by getting onto one of the small boats at Pointe Maurice.
Close to Ile aux Cerfs is the beautiful but lesser known Ile de l’Est. A short
distance from Ile aux Cerfs is Le Touessrok, one of the oldest five-star hotels
on the island.
